Welcome Back! Miss Burgess Update 9/6/23

09 Jun 2023

Welcome Back! 😊
English
This week in English, we have been focusing on learning to classify and sort different word types. We have leanred about nouns, adjectives and verbs. Next week, we will begin to look at writing our own instructions to a magical potion.
Maths
In maths this week we have been learning about positional language. We have covered quarter, half, three quarter and full turns, learning our left and right and using the vocabulary forwards and backwards to describe where different objects are.
.
Other
In History this week we have started looking into the Victorian Era. The children were excited to know about things that happened during this time and especially were interested about the differences between rich and poor families. We have also spoken about schools in Victorian times, the children were shocked to learn about the amount of children in the classes and the punishment system that Victorian schools had.

Have a lovely weekend in the sunshine.
