Spring 1 week 6

09 Feb 2024

Another great week, 4S. Well done.

In Reading, we have read chapters 8 and 9 of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. During one of our lessons, the children were focussing on their prediction skills, and had to create a piece of drama based on what they thought had happened to Edmund, one of the main characters. We had some brilliant acting from some children!

We also had a brilliant RE lesson this week. We were exploring two inspirational religious figures, and comparing them to see any similarities and differences. Some of the children made some fantastic contributions to this lesson, and had so much knowledge to share. It was an inspring lesson and the other children showed lots of respect towards other people's views.

In History, we were looking at an important Historical document: The Domesday Book. We spent time looking through what was included in the book, why it was commissioned and who commissioned it. The children then created their own Domesday Book, asking others in the classroom questions such as 'What town do you live in?'.

Happy weekend.
