Week 5 Autumn 1

07 Oct 2022

Well done Year 4 for another great week.

In English, the children have been preparing to write their set of instructions on how to make a Roman Shield. In order to write a successful set of instructions, they have been learning how to write in Stndard English, use time adverbials and recognise suffixes.

For our Music lessons, the children have been revisiting Mamma Mia, and comparing the song to other ABBA songs. They have really enjoyed learning new songs and we have also enjoyed listening to other types of Music such as Motown, and listening to artists such as Ray Charles and Michael Jackson.

In Geography, we looked at the city of Rome and the different human features there. We travelled through the city using different forms of transport, and wrote a postcard home to our family and friends telling them all about our adventures.

Have a lovely weekend.
