Reception Home Learning Update- Week 3

Mrs Zaayman & Miss Kelly - 23 Apr 2020

Dear all,
As I’m sure most of you are aware, it has been confirmed that our lockdown remains in place for another 3 weeks. Therefore, we have produced another home learning pack for you which can be found on the school website (Home Learning -> How to help your children learn).

We have divided our pack up into 4 sections, including (English, Maths, Arts & Crafts and Physical Development/ PE).

The new and updated pack includes the following:
  • Pages 1-27 & (answers on page 28) : CVC Word Phoneme Frames-  these are designed to support children writing simple words using their phonics knowledge. Encourage your child to look at the picture and identify the object, then use their phonics knowledge to sound out the words.
  • Pages 29- 40: CVC Writing word activity sheet.
  • Pages 41- 72: Week 3 English Pack (the story is included in this)- Pages 73- 75: Letter scavenger hunt. For this, you don’t necessarily need the printed copy. You can use this as inspiration and look around your house for an object beginning with a particular letter.
  • Pages 76-77: Listen and colour. For this activity, your child needs to follow the instructions that they have been given and colour the picture how it is instructed to do so. (This one will require adult assistance for reading)
  • Pages 78-95: Week 4 English Pack- CVC activities (focuses on ‘e’ and ‘I’)
  • Pages 96-132: Week 4 English Pack (the story is included in this)
  • Pages 133-150: Week 5 English Pack- CVC activities (focuses on ‘o’ and ‘u’)
