Welcome back to Autumn 2

Mrs Divall & Mrs Zaayman - 02 Nov 2018

Welcome back to the final part of the autumn term- and it promises to be very exciting term as well!

This week the children have been looking at and reading Room in the Broom, from this we have made sparkly spider’s web sand creepy spiders. We have also had a go at making our own brooms and cutting and sticking characters from the story onto the broom. I think you will agree the children are working extremely hard on their cutting skills.

As noted in the newsletter the children have started working in different groups for Phonics so please do look at the homework that you child has been provided with as this reflects the sounds(s) that they have been learning this week.

In Maths we have been looking at representing numbers using a variety of objects and actions such as 4 claps, 6 jumps etc. This is a fun activity of repeat with your child at home- it is worth asking if they were using a 1-6 dice or 1-6 and 7-12 (as some children could count the larger numbers).

In P.E we have been playing team games and looking at our agility- today was especially fun as we competed to be the fastest team to turn over all our cones- take a look at us in action!

Wishing you a great weekend- enjoy.
