Sum 2 Week 4 - We are all Super!!
Mr Hetchin - 30 Jun 2017
This week we have looked at the story "superkid" by Claire Freedman. The children have written about their own "super attributes, sharing with the class what they are really good at. We have also looked at the different accessories that superheroes have and designed our own superdogs.
In maths the have been learning about capacity. We've looked at filling containers so they are full, half full and empty. We've discussed which containers hold more and the children have really used what they've learnt during open learning.
In P.E. we have been practising for sports day, next Wednesday 5th July (all day), and we have a lot of budding Jessica Ennis-Hill's and Usain Bolt's !! If on the day you can please make sure your child has a water bottle filled with water and a hat, please also apply suncream to your child before school.
In Expressive arts children have been making props for the assembly. Theyve used a range of strategies including collage, painting, joining and colouring to decorate the different objects.
The children have also been practising really hard for their assembly. They are really excited to share their learning with you all. A reminder that the assembly is Tuesday 4th July at 2.40 and then you are all invited back into class to look at their school books.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mr Hetchin and the foundation stage staff
