Reception learn about Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Mr Hetchin - 28 Apr 2017
A very busy week in reception.
This week the Children have been reading the story of Goldilocks and the three Bears. We have also looked at how stories are structured and sequenced the stories
In Literacy Children have acted out the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. They have also sequenced the story of Goldilocks.
Children have also learnt about real bears in the wild. We have discussed how polar bears, black bears and panda bears have adapted to their environments. This culminated in children creating their own bears using mixed media.
The maths focus this week has been doubling and halving. The children have worked really hard and are fantastic at doubling independently.
Next week we will be learning about the Gingerbread man and in Maths we will be learning to count in 2s and 10s.
A reminder that we operate an open door policy, any concerns, questions, or advice that is needed feel free to talk to a member of the foundation staff who are always eager to help.
Enjoy the bank holiday weekend and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.
