Stick Man Trip
Miss Bhambra - 10 Dec 2015
It’s been a very busy week so far in Reception, we’ve been feeling very festive! We have been learning all about the nativity story and what Christmas is all about. We’ve been doing some festive number colouring, making Christmas decorations and practicing lots for our Nativity Play- we’re very excited to perform it next week! We’ve been singing our nativity songs and practising in the hall with year one and year two, we really enjoy the singing and being up on stage, we have a dress rehearsal on Friday and all of Key Stage 2 will be coming to watch us practice. We also made Miss Hope a card in secret this week whilst she was on a trip with KS1- it’s her last day next Friday and we’re all really going to miss her. In the card we practiced our writing and wrote a message for Miss Hope to keep.
We went on a trip to South Wealds Park this morning, we had so much fun and we were very tired when we got back! We visited the big playground and all had a go on the big slide and big steps, then we went to Stickman’s house in the forest where we played on Stickman’s bed and saw his fireplace made out of wood. We all stopped here to have a snack and reenergise ourselves before taking a long and VERY muddy walk to feed the ducks and the deer some bread and carrots, we really enjoyed walking in the sludgy mud in our wellies!
A big thank you to all of the adults who came on the trip with us, especially the mummies- Lucy’s mum, Max R’s mum, Alfie M’s mum and David’s mum, it was lovely to have you all there
Sadly I am leaving Brady for a term, my last day will be this Friday. I have absolutely loved working with the children and I have gained so many skills during my first teacher-training placement. All of the children are a pleasure to teach and work with, and it has been lovely watching them develop over these past 6 weeks. I will really miss coming to Brady every day. From January until Easter I will be working at a different school with a Year 2 class, but luckily I will be back in Reception at Brady after the Easter Break. It has been lovely getting to know all of the children and parents. I hope you all have a magical Christmas and New Year. See you all after Easter!
