Another great week in Reception
Mrs Divall & Mrs Zaayman - 12 Oct 2018
This week we have been busy looking at, thinking about and building our own different houses. We have linked our learning in Maths to this and made houses using known shapes such as triangles, squares and rectangles. We then even made models of our houses using these shapes and different 3D materials!
In Maths we have looked at how to draw shapes and thought about how to use shapes to make repeated patterns too.
We read the story of The Three Little Pigs and have acted it out as well. We made some amazing 3D pictures of houses made of straw as well as our own houses of sticks and mud- take a look at the photos below- we are sure you will agree they are all great!
We have focussed on two new sounds this week: o and c and the children have homework based on this again this week.
In P.E the children had a special visitor come and teach them Dance for a one off session, a great time was had by all and the leader of the session report back to Mr Nunn that the behaviour was exemplary.
We wish you all a great weekend and hope this lovely weather lasts!
