New Year!

08 Jan 2016

What an amazing first week back! However, the children have found the afternoons tiring, so please ensure plenty of early nights next week.

In Literacy we have been writing our own stories based on ‘Duck in the Truck’. The children have enjoyed changing parts of the story. We have been focussing on our handwriting and ensuring our writing is as neat as possible. The standard of writing has been extremely pleasing.

In Maths we have been looking at using a hundred square to add numbers. The class have been really engaged with this and have enjoyed being challenged. We will continue looking at counting in 2s, 5s and 10s this term.

Our topic this term is 'Would The Beatles Have Won X Factor?' The standard of homework from the Christmas break was outstanding. We will be displaying these in our classroom.

I will send home a termly newsletter on Monday.

Have a lovely weekend.
