Sum 2 Week 1- Our Class Assembly :)

Welcome back to our final half term this academic year! I'm looking forward to spending our last moments together as Year 1 before the summer break.

In maths this week we have been superstars at practicing our tens and ones. We have used dice, money and cubes when working out place value sums and have definitely progressed over the week.

In Literacy we have been reading "Room on the Broom". We all enjoyed this story and have been making predictions of what we think will happen next. We produced some impressive display work.

Our class assembly was today and we performed amazingly. Thank you to all of the adults who attended, I hope you enjoyed watching the assembly and going through your child's work with them. You should all be very proud of how much they have progressed over the academic year.

The phonics screening test begins on Monday.

In your child's bag you should have received a letter giving details about a trip to Watt Tyler Park on 26/6/2017. Please read and return the attached form ASAP.
