Spring 1 Week 4- Planets!

This week in Literacy we have had SO much fun learning facts about our solar system! We now know lots of different facts about the planets, the moon and Neil Armstrong to tie in with our non-fiction writing.

We have been busy making our own planets in art using clay. We are excited about painting and decorating our own planets next week, and describing them next week too!

In maths we have been busy learning how to count on using 2 digit numbers. Some of us began partitioning numbers to count on, and some of us have been practicing what the best strategies are to count on 2 large numbers.

We have BRICS tomorow where we are celebrating Chinese New Year. We can't wait!

Please remember to have your child's library books in their bags every Thursday.

SCHOOL ADMISSIONS - excluding Nursery

Children born between 01/09/2021 - 31/08/2022 are due to start Reception in September 2026.
Applications close on 15th January, 2026. Offer day is in the evening of 16th April, 2026.

If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), please note there's a different process for school transfers. You'll need to contact the Special Educational Needs Team directly at sen@havering.gov.uk to discuss changing your child's school.

School will finish for the Christmas Holidays on Friday 19th December (children will leave school at 1:15pm) and will return to school on Monday 5th January 2026.
