Happy New Year!

06 Jan 2017

A big welcome back and a Happy New Year to all of Year 3 and parents. I hope you all had a fantastic holiday, and that you all had a restful Christmas break.

We started off this week by reflecting on last year and what we enjoyed most about it. We thought about the coming year, and the children made themselves some New Year resolutions to focus on.

I have been really impressed with the children in Maths this week so far. This week we have covered using a calendar to problem solve and using the inverse with multiplication and division. These were two areas of Maths that the children found challenging last term. However, they have consolidated this now and were all much more confident in these areas of Maths. Great work Year 3 - keep it up!

As I mentioned in the newsletter for this half term, it would be fantastic if any shoe boxes could be brought in by the children, as this will help us with our Science topic later in the half term when we make shadow puppet theatres.

Have a great weekend, see you all on Monday,

Miss West
