Chinese New Year

The last couple of days Year 3 have been learning all about Chinese New Year. We looked at why people celebrate and the traditions that happen every year. The children were very excited to learn which sign of the zodiac they are!
We have made Chinese lanterns, fans and located information about the celebrations. This morning the children have been solving a mystery in Maths. They are solving the crime of who stole the animal masks right before the school production of the animal race! The children used a range of mathematical strategies to crack the codes and solve the crime.
