Dear Parents/Carers
I hope you have all had a peaceful break. The children have worked well this week and have shown continued enthusiasm in their learning. In literacy we have been writing about characters from Greek mythology and their adventures. For homework I have asked the children to pretend they are Daedalus and write a diary entry about his escape from Crete. In numeracy, we have found fractions of shapes, numbers and amounts and have used key vocabulary for example: numerator to show how many parts are taken and denominator to show how many parts the whole has been divided into. Next week, as part of their science topic, the children will be investigating the force of friction and which materials produce more or less friction.
