English: This week in English we have been mostly looking at Charles Causley’s poem What Has Happened to Lulu? Science: This week in year 5 we were scientists! We split into groups and made yucky alien soup. First we all added a full tea spoon of sand and salt. Next, we dropped in 10 paperclips. After, we added rice, poured in 100ml of water and gave it a good stir. Our task was to separate the soup’s ingredients. We had a bowl, spoon, sieve and magnet.
