Off with her head!

A huge welcome back to school, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas break!
This week in Year 5, we have started our new topic 'Off with her head!'. This cornerstones topic is about the Tudors, and this week we have been researching about Henry VIII. We have found out some rather interesting facts about the King, such as he had six different wives and that he even had a whipping boy who would be punished when he had done something wrong! We also looked at the painter Hans Holbein and the portraits he created of Henry VIII.
Next week we will use all of our research to create our own biography about the King.
