Year 3 Science Experiments
Mrs Divall & Mrs Zaayman - 25 May 2018
This week we had Mr Sullivan visit our class to show us some very interesting science experiments. He used golden syrup and a biscuit to demonstrate how tectonic plates move around the Earth. He also showed the children what happens when an underwater volcano erupts using hot wax and sand. Children had the opportunity to make their very own lava lamps using different density liquids to represent a volcanic eruption. The whole class thoroughly enjoyed these activities.
Instead of extra maths homework for the half term we are sending home an assessment pack for you to have a good look at. Children completed this assessment on 24/5. It covers all the maths we have learnt over the last couple of weeks. You may like to use this to help support your child at home.
Just a reminder to look out for the new topic homework map after half term. We hope you will enjoy completing these tasks as much as you did for the last topic.
Have a great weekend from Mrs Divall, Mrs Zaayman and Miss Stansfield.
