Year 3 Maths and Tremors Homework Map
Mrs Divall and Mrs Zaayman - 20 Apr 2018
Dear All
This week Year 3 have started a new Geometry unit of work in Maths and so have been looking at both 2D shapes and 3D shapes.
Firstly, we looked at 2D shapes and identified their properties and tried to categorise them. Today, we started to make 3D shapes using unifix cubes (this enabled the children to start to think about how to construct and make a variety of different cuboids).
There is a link below to a worksheet that will support your child’s learning in this area of Maths, should you want some additional work to do with them. Also included is a 2D and 3D shape poster to help in the completion of this worksheet.

-properties of 3D shapes with answers.pdf-
These sheets are not due in (as they are optional). Please complete and enjoy working together with your child, on these, at home (the answer sheet is included).
Below I have also added a copy of the new homework map for our topic Tremors. Please note the homework is due in on 21.05.18.
