London's burning
15 Jan 2016
This week has been very busy with the children making a good start to our new topics . In science we went on a material walk to find out about the different materials used in our school. Ryan completed a very impressive piece of work explaining why specific materials are used.
In literacy we enjoyed writing our own version of Jack and the beanstalk and some of these are displayed in the corridor.
Our topic work was all about the fire of London and the children can enjoy a playing a game about this as I have set this for homework. Dylan completed an excellent piece of writing as an eyewitness to events. We also drew sketches of the fire to make a super display with Samuel Pepys looking out at London while it was burning.
In RE we are finding out about the stories Jesus told and so we read the story of the good Samaritan.
Dojo winners this week were Adenike and Daria. Well done!
