Fire Station
17 Jan 2019
We have been writing about the fire brigade in literacy and we had a memorable visit to Wennington Road Fire Station. Children had the opportunity to ask questions they had prepared in literacy.
A fun time was had by all at the station. Each child had the opportunity to sit in the fire engine and try different equipment used by the fire team. They had lots of fun using the fire hose, thankfully no one got soaked! A big thank you to the Fire team at Wennington Road for letting us visit and putting on a range of activities and thank you to all the adults who came to help with the visit.
Children will have a ‘Home Fire Safety Visit Request Form’ in their bag on Friday. If you complete the form and return it to the freepost address given, the fire brigade will visit you free of charge and fit a free smoke alarm.
In maths we have been practising subtraction using a range of methods.
