Week 2 - Friday 22nd April

25 Apr 2016

What another fantastic week of learning in Year 1!

I'm amazed by how quickly this year is going. The children are making good progress and have really continued to develop since September.

We have been looking at the text 'S
uperworm' this week in our writing sessions. Our focus has been to write a more positive ending for Superworm and to use lots of descriptive words to let others know how fantastic he is. The class have thoroughly enjoyed looking at this story.

In maths this week we have been looking at adding together three numbers to find a total. I have been absolutely flabbergasted by the children's progress. They have been using a range of different methods to solve problems and are really becoming confident in adding numbers.

Our planting has begun! The children have all planted a sunflower seed. Now we will look after them and see what happens...
