Spr 1 Week 6- Our Trip to the Zoo!

08 Feb 2017

We went to Tropical Wings on Monday and we had so much fun! We saw butterflies, meerkats, lemurs, wallabys, goats, enormous tortoises, monkeys and lots of different species of birds! We produced some fabulous writing about our trip in our Literacy books. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

In maths we have been learning about days of the week and months of the year.

In science we were able to charecterise all different types of animals! Next half-term we are going to begin to learn about plants.

We have BRICS on Friday too!

I hope you all have an enjoyable, relaxing half-term. Please don't forget to return your children's PE kits on the first day back (20th Feb). We are going to be doing PE outside next half term.

Please also return your child's homework by 22nd February.

If your child was born between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016, they are due to start Reception Class in September 2020.  If you were unable to attend our previous meetings, you're welcome to visit the school on Wednesday 11th December between 5-6pm (no booking required).  Please do not attend if you came to the previous meetings.

Reception - Year 6 parents/guardians. If you wish to order school photographs via the school for free delivery, your order must be received into the office before Tuesday 3rd December. For Nursery parents, before 13th December.

Chicken Pox - a number of children are currently off ill with this. If your child has or gets chicken pox, they should remain off school for about 5 days from the onset of the rash/spots.  Once the spots have crusted over and no new ones appear, your child can return to school if they feel well enough.
