Year 3 Week 3

Literacy
This week Year 3 finished their diary entries which were a great read! They also began to look at writing newspaper reports which we will be focusing on next week. After reading chapter 4 of the Iron Man, the children came up with some catchy headlines that they could use in their newspapers to report about the strange events that occurred!
Maths
This week Year 3 have been focusing on answering missing number problems. This has been difficult but they have been working really hard. Extra practise will be sent home with your child this week. Next week, we will be focusing on telling and writing the time.
Topic
In topic, we made parachutes that the children had designed. They selected different materials to test which would be most appropriate. They also found objects that were magnetic around the classroom and next week we will be exploring this further.
