Under the sea
20 May 2016
This week we completed some of the new SATS tests in mathematics. I was really pleased at how maturely the children have approached these tests. One paper was all arithmetic and the other was reasoning. The expected standards scores will not be released until June and this will then be noted on their school reports. We have also completed 1 reading paper which again the children really attempted with a positive attitude. Well done Year 2.
On a lighter note we had some fantastic underwater stories where the children have really explored using adventurous vocabulary. Our topic work involved looking at a map of the world and locating oceans.
In Science we listened to different genres of music and decided which we liked. These ranged from country, hip hop, R & B to rock and electronic. This was a fun lesson.
