The Ragged school visit

19 Mar 2016

On Wednesday the children made a visit to the Ragged school. During their time there, they found out about life in a poor Victorian home and experienced a Victorian lesson. This was led by Miss Perkins who was very strict. The children had to write on slates and copy from the blackboard. They also tried the fingerstocks and back straightener. The children were very good ambassadors for our school and enjoyed the visit, even though it was a little scary!
Here are some photos to share. I think their faces speak volumes!

Brilliant photographs, Aman had a great time and came back very thankful that he was not at school in the Victorian times. He was relieved that it was his one and only experience of Mrs Perkins!
Ms Satvir Kaur - 23 Mar 2016 - 20:13
Amelie learnt a lot about the lives of children during the Victorian age on this trip; she is very happy that she wasn't born back then!
