Facts,fractions and detective work.

26 Feb 2016

This week we have started out new topic-What were the people like who lived here 150 years ago? We have been finding out about Queen Victoria. Did you know she was the first monarch to live in Buckingham palace. She became queen when she was only 18.
In maths we have been working on fractions  and investigated which numbers can be halved. Then it was pizzas and halves and quarters.
Some spelling stars this week- Ryan, Aman. Jekalynn, Mason, Demola, David, Nimi and Amelie.
In literacy we were word detectives and added suffixes to root words.
Dojo winners are Layla and Della.

Next Thursday is world book day and our book is Peter Pan. There is a poster on the door of all the different characters. Don't forget the competition and the quiz.
Entries by Wednesday.

Here are the children investigating numbers.
