A busy week in Year 2 making masks and visiting the library.
11 Oct 2014
Yet another busy week at Brady. The trip to Rainham library was a success and thank you to all those parents who came with us.
In Science we have been looking at habitats around the world and some children enjoyed showing their homework. We loved Donnie's photo showing his pet rabbits and he was really keen to share their names with us.
On Friday to link with our topic work we made some African masks. We had drawn designs on the computer and so had fun cutting and sticking. These are now on show in our classroom. We also found out about Mary Seacole and there are some fun games the children can play if you go to the BBC history link and look for Mary Seacole.
Also on Friday Mariam joined our class so the children helped to make her feel welcome.
A big well done to Evie and Kasparas who won the handwriting competition for Year 2. The winning entries are on the website under the section Priorities. I will hopefully continue this next term and so we may have new winners then! It was a really hard decision to pick all the winners as so many children are taking a real pride in their handwriting throughout the school.
