An exciting first week.

12 Sep 2014

We have made a super start to life in year 2. The children  have been looking at the story of The pig in the pond by Martin Waddell. On Friday we had fun writing our own stories.Tyler's story was very dramatic as the cat fell in the pond. In Katerinas's story the farmer fell asleep in the hen house! Some children had very naughty goats who ate the washing and the farmer's food.

In Science we explored grouping different animals into sets and have made a super display in our classroom. Is a snake a mammal or a reptile? Which creatures have six legs?

In P.E we had fun with some new balls and hoops and discovered that not many adults can hoola hoop!

I'm sure next week will be an exciting week of work ending with pirate Brics on Friday.
