Spr 1 Week 2- Meet Alexander Chip!

13 Jan 2017

We have got a new pet Meerkat! His name is Alexander Chip or Alex for short and he is helping us with all of our learning across the curriculum. If our table is working the hardest, Alex gets to come and sit on our table! In topic and art we have been writing about meerkats, sketching deserts and creating collages of hot countries.

In Literacy this week we have been learning about Dougal the Deep Sea Diver and we have been writing from different persepectives, using adjectives and writing postcards from the deep sea.

In maths we have been using 100 grids this week to practice counting in 10s and adding on and taking numbers away from 2 digit numbers. We began learning about tens and units and how to find out how many are in 2 digit numbers.

Below are some pictures of us making collages of hot countries in art, programming beebots in IT, and hot-seating as Dougal in Literacy.

Have a lovely weekend
Miss Bhambra
