Night Monkey, Day Monkey

10 Nov 2017

This week we have been reading "Night Monkey, Day Monkey" and the writing we have produced is brilliant! Have a look at our display below. We have been labelling images from the story and talking about night and day time to coinside with our topic work.

In phonics we have learnt 3 sounds this week.
g- around the girl's face, down her hair and give it a curl
o- all around the orange
c- curl around the caterpillar

In maths we have been partitioning to 5 and 6. Please make sure you take any opportunities to do this at home with your child; using vocab like "plus, add, take away from, equals, altogether" can be really helpful.

We did a coke and mentos experiment this week! This was our first scientific experiment- we predicted what would happen then spoke about what did happen.

Thank you to all parent's for attending parent's evening this week. It was lovely to discuss your child's progress with you all and hearing such positive feedback was lovely too :)
